The story of Romance began over 14 years ago, but its roots are deeply tied to the legacy of Don Francisco, Mauro’s grandfather.
Don Francisco was not only passionate about Canarian gastronomy but also about traditions passed down from generation to generation.
Inspired by him, Mauro decided to transform that love for authenticity into a place where people could feel at home, connecting with the essence of Tenerife.
The name “Romance” holds a special meaning. It is a tribute to a beloved horse of Mauro’s, a symbol of loyalty, dedication, and passion—values that are reflected in every corner of the guachinche.
With the support of his parents and alongside his sister Begoña, Mauro brought to life a place where warmth and tradition come together.
